Road Repair Work
Repair work to Douglas Avenue has finally taken place after many months of consultation by the Committee and by local Councillors. These repairs are intended to be a stop-gap until the construction of Plumb Park completes in 2-3 years time.
Opinions vary about the quality and extent of the repair work and the Committee invites you to submit your views to us so that we can collate them and give feedback to the Councillors and therefore to Devon County Council Highways department.
Please would you address your comments to Simon Davidson at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would like to be able to communicate the summarised views to the Councillors by September 21st, so please respond to Simon by September 18th. Thank you.
AGM (updated 23 September 2020)
In view of the recent rise in number of people found positive with coronavirus your Committee have decided it is necessary to postpone this year’s AGM for the foreseeable future.
Instead we shall be producing a newsletter in the next few weeks to keep you abreast of what is happening in the Avenues. This will be e-mailed to those who have provided e-mail addresses and paper copies will be delivered to the rest.
You can of course still contact us with any concerns or issues you feel we can help with and we will refer these on to the relevant people to try to get action. You can use this e-mail email@example.com or can contact us via our website www.taraexmouth.org.uk
We shall arrange an AGM as soon as we feel it is safe to do so.
Elizabeth Deasey will be taking over the role of Membership Secretary after the AGM. Membership Application / Renewal forms for 2020/2021 will be distributed with the AGM Notification. The fee for 2020/2021 will revert to £5.00 per household as in the past. We ask that you do not send any renewals prior to the beginning of October please. All renewals by Standing Order will be processed on the date of receipt. If you are the contact person for one of our Block Memberships, you will receive a letter regarding your renewal in the next couple of weeks.
Thank you all again for your continued support of our work in The Avenues.
