What is TARA?

The Avenues Residents’ Association encompasses the following area of Exmouth, EX8: roads south east of Salterton Road and north west (and including) of Douglas Avenue, between Littleham Cross and Rolle Road roundabout.

We are affiliated with Exmouth Community Association and The Exmouth Society.

Membership of The Avenues Residents’ Association (TARA) is open to residents and anyone else who wishes to join us, in order to help us achieve our goals. Please see our Membership page to join.


Producing a Design Statement as a consultative document for local Council Planning decisions, since the introduction of a formal planning process at neighbourhood level. The Avenues Design Statement was prepared in order to manage and influence changes caused by new developments to the character of The Avenues Residential Area of Special Character (ARASC). This was one of a number of RASCs designated under the provisions of Policy EN19 in the then emerging East Devon Local Plan 2002.
