We currently collect and process the following information:

- Mobile and landline numbers
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- identify TARA membership
- provide you with information about TARAs activities
We use the information that you have given us in order to:
- Identify TARA members
- Contact members with TARA updates via emails and newsletters
- Or by telephone
- We do not share this information with any third-party organisation.
Our web site is managed by a web service provider which may have access to data, however this is solely for the maintenance and support of our web site. The provider is subject to GDPR regulations and is prevented from sharing any data and is subject to the provisions of this Privacy statement.
We use proprietary software (Mailchimp) for email communications. The software provider does not have access to confidential data and is subject to this Privacy statement.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting Chair@taraexmouth.org.uk
(b) We have a legitimate interest.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored in a password protected database
only accessible by TARA committee members on a need-to-know basis.
We will keep your information until your membership ceases and with your consent for a period of two years afterwards. We will then dispose of your information by deleting from our database and all backup copies.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
