We were delighted that 10 residents joined us for our last walk on April 13th during which a significant number of issues were found and reported to the relevant bodies. Members and residents are cordially invited to join the TARA Committee on our next walk on Monday 18th May.
It will start at 3pm at the junction of Mayfield Drive and Douglas Avenue, and after covering Mayfield Drive we will head West towards the junction with Maer Lane taking in Isca Road en route. Retracing our steps Eastwards along Douglas Avenue we will then turn into Cranford Avenue, covering Heatherdale, and then head up the Avenue finishing by No. 8, Cranford Court.
The purpose of the walk is to record issues that affect the appearance of the area and the safety of residents: damaged roads, kerbs and paths, weeds, overgrowing hedges, bushes and trees, any poorly maintained drains or trees where planted in paths. We then report the exact locations on the various Council online sites, and circulate the information to the local Councillors.
We will be discussing these walks, what we are finding, and the responses to date, at our next meeting with Littleham Councillors on May 21st.
